LinchpiN's hud for anyone who's interested

This is my hud.

I made this very similar to my old q3hud. Small number below the crosshair is the ammo count.
Bigger numbers underneath the xhair are- left: Health right: Armor

That purple bar is the side of a plasma ammo box not a part of my hud. I have used the ammo counter near the Xhair for a long time I find I'm way more conscious of my ammo when I have thsi there. Note the ammo counter is transparent this screengrab doesnt do justice to it.

I find numbers a better representation for me than bars. Helps me decide on things better in certain situations.

I use smooth curves because I in some places you can see through tunnels etc better. Think DM6 rocket launcher landing, when you are standing/jumping off bridge to RA. I find even though the jagged curves give you a better representation of where projectiles/shots will hit , it still isn't completely accurate especially in ql, with all the added bevels to things.

And yes your last question is why I center everything. My inventory is on the left because with so many things centered, having that centerd too just makes it feel too cluttered. Its only one thing I need to take my eyes off the center for.

Cool no probs dude.

so are you saying that you use numbers with "> or <" logic to make your decisions? where as i use the fractional graphics of a the bar graph to "feel" what to do, perhaps using the opposite side of the brain. mebbe?!? deep

Yeah pretty much. For example say my enemy is watching a power item from a distance with rail and I know he is low too. Say he is watching mega platform on T7, from a far entrance with rail.
I know if I have above 27 health and armour no less than 53, the rail will leave me on 1 health. Armour takes 66% of the damage.I wouldn't be able to tell this from bars.
