Anything unrelated to Quake in here.

Favourite series.

So what series are you religiously hooked on? For me I really enjoy dark and depressing (obviously to contrast my usual sparkly self).

Here's what my PVR never misses:

LOST:
Lost is an American serial television drama. It follows the lives of plane crash survivors on a mysterious tropical island, after a commercial passenger jet flying between Sydney and Los Angeles crashes somewhere in the South Pacific. Each episode typically features a primary storyline on the island as well as a secondary storyline from another point in a character's life, though other time-related plot devices change this formula in later episodes.

I think I missed season 3 but have since picked it up in a big way. Once it's done with it's final season in the states I will probably torrent it and spend a whole weekend watching it start to finish.

FRINGE
Fringe is an American science fiction television series co-created by J. J. Abrams, Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci. The series follows a Federal Bureau of Investigation "Fringe Division" team based in Boston, Massachusetts under the supervision of Homeland Security. The team uses unorthodox "fringe" science and FBI investigative techniques to investigate "the Pattern", a series of unexplained, often ghastly occurrences that are happening all over the world. The show has been described as a hybrid of The X-Files, Altered States, The Twilight Zone, and Dark Angel.[1][2]

I haven't missed an episode. Nuff said. I also love all of JJ Abrams work. The man is a geniius. He is also responsible for lost.

WAKING THE DEAD
Waking the Dead is a British television police procedural crime drama series produced by the BBC featuring a fictional Cold Case Unit comprising CID police officers, a psychological profiler and a forensic scientist. A pilot episode was transmitted in September 2000 and there have been a total of eight series since. Each story is split into two hour-long episodes, shown on consecutive nights on BBC One.

The english have always been able to tell a richer story than their american counterparts. Imagine CSI without the completely unbelievable bits (IE: 99& of the show).

SPOOKS
Spooks is a BAFTA award-winning British television drama series produced by the independent production company Kudos for BBC One. The title is a popular colloquialism for spies, as the series follows the work of a group of MI5 Officers based at the service's Thames House headquarters, in a highly secure suite of offices known as The Grid.

Imagine a weekly dose of James Bond. Seriously. It's that good.

What series have got you hooked?

OOOh I forgot supernatural. Also a goodie. Looking forward to the new season. 24 lost it for me sometime in the previous season. Not sure why, perhaps the stories just got too contrived and predictable.

I never managed to catch it on TV. Perhaps I'll grab a torrent sometime. I do hear great things about it.
