I'm an economist at the largest financial institution in South Africa.

Other than that I build and collect fast and sought-after cars and also do some other minor activities.

I am not really willing to post pics of my cars due to security concerns, however if you are in Cape Town you are more than welcome to view my garage and I may even give you a spin in one of them.

Currently all my vehicles are available to one buyer, it includes four cars with a mountain of sought after spares, I'm looking at 350k for everything. Includes two turbocharged superbosses in immaculate condition, one Opel corsa bakkie with a 2.0l 16v conversion and an immaculate BMW e30 coupe.

I like how your not work 'activities' are so much more interesting than whatever economical work you do :P

Serious business either way.

Economics is actually quite interesting, if you consider that it impacts on just about every decision you make in your daily life.

As for my cars, they may seem interesting from your point of view, to me they are just very expensive toys with lots of stress attached to it, sort of like having a supermodel as your other half.

heh, too true. However from the view point of a student, who does not study economics, and who doesnt have an expensive toy to play with, its an easy choice as to which is more interesting.

Some things are better distractions that others when you know so little :P

I was going to go into economics but I ended up majoring in marketing (half of which is economics anyway). Maybe I'm better off in marketing since I couldn't stare at economics graphs all day. Still, economists have a damn fine career wherever they go.
